What do I need to know before applying?

Blu Sky Care is a registered NDIS provider based in Adelaide, South Australia, located in Kurralta Park. We specialise in providing personalised disability support services to individuals and their families. Our mission is to help people with disabilities and complex needs achieve a better quality of life through tailored care that prioritises independence, safety and dignity. We use a rigorous vetting process, including comprehensive background checks, to ensure our Carers are ready to make a meaningful difference in the community.

Your Role: What to Expect
We provide specialised support around the clock, ranging from high-intensity complex medical care, 24/7 in-home assistance, to social community engagement and positive behaviour support.

High-Intensity & Complex Care
For participants with more significant medical needs, we provide specialised nursing-style support.

  • Enteral (PEG) Feeding: Safe administration of nutrition and fluids through a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube for individuals unable to eat orally.
  • Ventilation Management: Assistance with respiratory support, including monitoring and managing ventilators to ensure safe and effective breathing.
  • Complex Bowel & Stoma Care: Support with bowel management and stoma care to ensure hygiene, comfort and overall well-being.
  • Epilepsy & Seizure Monitoring: Continuous support for individuals with epilepsy, including seizure management and emergency response.
  • Complex Wound Care: Monitoring, dressing and managing wounds or pressure injuries to promote healing and prevent infection.
  • Administering medication via injections.

In-Home Care & Daily Living

  • Personal Care: Assistance with showering and dressing.
  • Household Tasks: Help with home cleaning, laundry and general organisation.
  • Meal Support: Assistance with meal planning, preparation and management.
  • Medication Assistance: Helping participants manage and stay on top of their medications.
  • Running Errands: Helping with groceries, shopping and appointments. 
  • Gardening: Support with essential outdoor maintenance to ensure a safe and accessible home environment. 
  • Assistance with Sports and Exercise: Dedicated support to help you stay active and reach your fitness goals. Our carers can accompany you to the gym, assist with physiotherapy exercises, or support your participation in local community sports and recreational activities.

Social & Community Participation

  • Transport Assistance: Help getting to and from appointments or social outings.
  • Community Access: Supporting participants to visit friends/family or attend day trips to local spots like the Adelaide Museum or Glenelg Beach.
  • Recreational Clubs: We host activities like a weekly Art & Craft Club to foster social connections.
