Our Happy Clients

What is the NDIS and the NDIA?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers. The NDIA stands for the National Disability Insurance Agency and is the body that implements the NDIS, ensuring people with disability get the support they need.

If you have just received a diagnosis, or acquired a disability or someone you know has a disability, the NDIS may be able to provide you funding to assist in your daily life and help to participate in the community as well as achieve your life goals.

This might include:

  • equipment and therapy
  • things that help you or your family members go to school, work, and access the community
  • access to healthcare
  • support for your family
  • anything that helps you or your family member to be more independent.
